Trusting in the Almighty and the allMerciful God,Mindful of the fact that no community exist without laws and leadership, the Basic Education studentns of UEW,Winneba, as are desirous to promote the welfare of members, fraternal solidarity and fellowship amongst themselves.
Anxious to ensure peace and within our entire menbership, the student of this Association and other Association in the school are whole heartedly determined to attin the peak of exellence in our moral, spiritual, political, cultural and interllectual endeavours.
Striving to perpetuate the ideals for which this association was formed; we do hereby adopt, enact and give the supreme Law of Government of the association on this .......................Day of............................ 2002

ARTICLE 1: NAME OF ASSOCIATION
The name of the association of the Basic Education Students of Winneba,shall be known as Basic Education Students' Association (BESA).
ARTICLE 2: SUPREMACY OF THE CONSTITUTION
` This constitution, a subsidiary of the junior Common Room constitution of University of Education, shall be the supreme law of the Basic Education Students' Association of University of Winneba.
ARTICLE 3: AIMS OR OBJECTIVES
i) To fostor unity and friendship among members.
ii) To see to the provision of all resources that will help members in their academic advacement.
iii) To seek to the welfare of members
iv) To foster a good relationship between members,other departments and academic staff if the University.
v) To organize symposia, lecture, film shows and study trips for its members.
vi) To keep in contact with the past members of association.
ARTICLE 4: MEMBERSHIP
1 All students admitted into this University of offer Basic Education programme, shall become automatic members of BESA.
2 Allmembers shall possess membership cards.
3 Cessation of members
i) Student lose their membership of BESA, if withdrawn from the university.
ii) When they complete their course of study.
4 Honourary membersship: Honourary membership.
Is accoded to any Basic Education graduate, and member of BESA who has graaduate from University of Education, depending on his/her contributions towards the association.
ARTICLE 5: PATRON
The head of Basic Education Department shall be the automatic patron, with all other interested Lectures and personalities, may be accepted by the Executive commitee.
